Winter Music Conference is upon us and the town is in full swing – loads of folk from all over the world – all shapes, sizes and musical preferences. Here we have a couple taking an evening stroll on Thursday in front of Mac’s Club Deuce.

Paul Oakenfold made a surprise guest stop Thursday in Pilikia while filming some Cuervo Tequila/TV-party thing. (Nice to see our friend Susan again!)

So 12 years ago today I made the official move to Florida when I arrived on flight US Air #1438 BOS > FTL at 6:08pm. I stayed with my Dad & Patty (Step-Mom) in Fort Lauderdale, where they had a condo, for about 2 weeks. It was a new beginning and a fresh start after living all over Boston for some 14 years. I moved into a 1-bedroom on 1685 Lenox Ave. (33139) on April 11th, 1997 – I think the rent was $600, w/a parking space half a block from Lincoln Rd.! Soon discovered the Beehive and the Abbey around the corner, not to mention the Deuce – just blocks away!

Let’s see what happens next … in “God’s waiting room,” during the next Hurricane Season.
