A deuce customer sends in a photo of his cross-country motorcycle trip …

… during the 2010 Colorado (?) brush fires.

It all started (8/21) with Interpol at The Jackie Gleason Theater (great venue), before they headed over to Europe…

Then ended (8/25) with the start of the Deftones US tour …

… a good time had by all, although that pit was moving around a little bit.

Tonight – A bash for those of you that have kids that are going back – or – those of you that have kids that skipped school …

… either way, it looked looks a blast.

Uncle Louis makes his last appearance at the Deuce …

… and no more happy hour.

UPDATE: Ashes were lost soon after this was taken – keep you eyes peeled for a bag of ashes with a Deuce sticker on it!

So Mum and I took a trip to the West coast of Scotland, to the Isle of Bute – Rothesay, a place where not only my Mother has been going since a child, but me too … it has a special place in my memory because this is where I got hooked on Ginger Beer and it’s stunningly beautiful … (left of Glasgow)

The journey began in Limekilns 10am, so we could get a jump on the day and try and avoid possible traffic (road work just before Glasgow), I documented all the signs going west (so you know) - Did I mention how tricky it was to get a “snap” while speeding along at maximum … speed?

We arrived 10 minutes before the Rothesay Ferry was due to leave (Noon), as Mum had last years schedule (pronounced: shed-yule), a perfect drive with no delays on a perfectly sunny day.

Then we entered the beautiful Wemyss Bay railway station …

Keep in mind, this was the day of the big game – USA vs ENG (1-1) – so everyone in Scotland was routing for the USA. When I landed I took this of the Rothesay esplanade …

… a great day all around.

Key West, FL – “I found a camera and Ikelite waterproof housing washed ashore in Key West, FL. Pictures indicate it floated all the way from Aruba over a period of 6 months. Half way through the journey, this sea turtle came across it and tried to eat it, turning the camera on and recording himself.” – Aquahound1
