Had some friends, Peggy and Andy from Boston, in town for a week …
Good time had by all …
… here we are acting like tourists and dancing on the tables at Opa.
… a little embarrassing, but totally worth it.
So I’ve finally recovered from my 33 hour journey (overnight in EWR from Edinburgh to Miami Beach (EDI > LHW > EWR > MIA) landing at MIA at 9:50am 1/7/09. I think I’m back on EST and have returned to normal time-zone. Here’s some more images from a little trip Mum and I took to Culross (pronounced: coo-russ) last tuesday (Jan. 5, 2010) …
So here’s some from yesterday. Just missed a 4-5 hour traffic jam on the Firth of Forth bridge … phew!

A view of the impeding storm on the Firth of Forth …
A little trip south across the Firth of Forth river proved to be risky as a storm followed us around with sleet, snow and treacherous road conditions on what initially appeared at first to be a nice day. On our return, we had to wait 45 minutes (took a nap) before the bridge cleared for an accident, only to have the bridge close a few hours later. The irony was we went to visit the town of Blackness (Inn for sale!) … Beware all those who enter Blackness Castle!
Thought it might help to show a map of Scotland … *Mum lives in the town Limekilns, next to Dunfermline located across the Firth of Forth from Edinburgh.

Went to see The Peatbog Faeries at The Alhambra Theatre on Wednesday (Dec. 30, 2009) …
just before The Peatbog Faeries at The Alhambra Theatre, inside …
Then went to one of Mum’s friends for a New Years Eve lunch …
More great shot of my favorite pub, The Ship Inn …
2 hours apart …
*Note: I got rid of my piece of cr*p camera Nikon COOLPIX L20 and got a Canon PowerShot SX120IS.
